Terms of Service
Agreement
By downloading or using Cleared, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms are between you and Carpalink (operated by Marian Budean, Romania).
What Cleared is
Cleared is a pilot logbook and flight currency tracking tool. It is a personal record-keeping aid only. It is not a substitute for official FAA records, certified flight instruction, or professional aviation advice.
Important limitation — not a safety tool
Currency and medical calculations in Cleared are provided for informational convenience only. You are solely responsible for verifying your own currency and medical certificate status before acting as pilot in command. Do not rely solely on this app to determine whether you are legally current to fly. Always verify against current FAA regulations and your official records.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@carpalink.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscriptions and payments
Cleared offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation are governed by Apple's App Store terms. Carpalink does not process payments directly.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Your data
You own your logbook data. We don't claim any rights to it. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and handled.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation within the app
Termination
You can stop using Cleared and delete your account at any time from within the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
Cleared is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that currency calculations will be accurate in all edge cases or reflect the most current FAA regulatory changes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carpalink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any damages related to aviation decisions made in reliance on app data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
